A fast Slow reveal
I’ve been going through some old hard drives searching for old photographs and I came across this - it’s a bit slow by todays standards where I think most videos / TikToks / Reels (or whatever you’re looking at) are about 20seconds long.
This was made over the course of a year when I first moved to West Cork in 2010 and lived in Glengarriff. I absolutely love Glengarriff and it’s beautiful ancient forest but I also felt quite claustrophobic at times as the house I was living in was completely surrounded by trees and there wasn’t any horizons to be found but, if you make it to the end of this video, you’ll see the mountains beyond the trees slowly begin to reveal themselves.
It’s hardly a masterpiece of film making but I think it’s worth keeping here as a document to something slower even though it’s a timelapse.
